Our Story

These words embody our mission of social equity at Youth Reading Initiative.  We know that families are struggling with a cycle of socio-economic burden that follows them for generations.  The best way to break this cycle in the next generation is to get an education and skill sets of the future.  We want to develop young minds and attune them to learning even before they reach a school age. This is why we start with teaching the importance of learning and development to young parents in their medical home, the pediatrician's office. Children with optimal development and early learning are less likely to problems with reading and learning. They are more likely to graduate and have future economic success. Let's help families climb the ladder of success.
